Biafrans are aware that Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian President’s current preoccupation is to dismantle Boko Haram, the terror group he formed to grab power. The latest of his actions in pursuant of that goal was the release from prison of Kabir Sokoto, the heartless Christmas Day bomber.

Sokoto was the man serving life jail sentence for the Christmas Day bombing at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla in Abuja in 2011.  The bombing saw to the death of more than 41 people with about 57 others wounded. This was the man Buhari quietly released from prison without letting anybody know about it, just because he (Sokoto) was part of the Northern plot to grab power before finally and completely subjugating Biafra.

The irony of Buhari’s action is that he has just released from prison, a man that was convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction for the murder of scores of people, but he has refused to release Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) whose release was ordered by the court. Kanu is a freedom fighter; a man who has not killed anybody, but has been campaigning for the freedom of his people by making broadcasts through the radio.

We are aware that the intention has been to wind down Boko Haram, since the Nigerian Presidency, which it was established to achieve, is already achieved. In addition to that, it became necessary that Boko Haram be wound down because Buhari and his other members of the Northern oligarchy already had the official killer-squad, which is the Nigerian Army. For that reason, there was no more need for the unofficial killer-squad, Boko Haram. Many members of Boko Haram – as uneducated as they were – have already been recruited into the Nigerian Army; and many more will also be recruited in the coming weeks and months and years.

Before this time, Buhari had told a bewildered world that he knew nothing about Chibok girls or their where-about, the same Chibok girls he rode on the scam of their kidnap to campaign for power. As if that was not enough, the confused Biafran woman, Oby Ezekwesili, who had been spearheading the bring-back-our-girls’ campaign has been branded distraction by government, because she had continued with the campaign in spite of Buhari’s installment.

Furthermore, so-called parents of the so-called abducted girls have told her to stop the campaign; that they would no longer be part of it, because she was angering “their” government.
