For Biafra Choice Writers
Today, foreign observers saw firsthand the usual legal gymnastics practiced in Nigeria when government wants to deny its citizens justice. The country danced naked again before the world today, Monday, April 25, as it could not make available the case file available for the appeal of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
To the consternation of foreign observers, journalists and writers, the case was not listed for hearing after many weeks of notice. Biafra Choice Writers were not able to get the reactions of Kanu’s legal team, which instantly went off to the High Court, to participate in the case against Biafrans arrested from Aba, in Abia State.
The case have been adjourned till May 5, which many people who are familiar with Nigeria’s legal pranks were sure was to give the government ample time to come up with yet another gimmick to deny the Biafran leader justice.
